What We Do…

Formed in London by Jon Lawrence in January 2015, Chalk Press Agency (Jon, Harriet Brampton, Andy Glancy and Matt Ganfield) focus on both introducing and breaking new artists from all over the globe, and creating innovative and strategic press campaigns for our established artists too. Our broad roster is almost exclusively made up of ‘career’ artists, and includes a host of number 1 charting artists on both sides of the Atlantic, BRIT and Grammy Award winners, Mercury Music Prize winners, several BBC Sound Of… poll winners, and plenty more besides.

We’re a comparatively small team, so all of our clients and their associated teams know exactly who they're going to be talking to, and crucially, who will be talking for them.

Having been shortlisted for the Music Week Awards PR Campaign of The Year in 2010 (Mumford & Sons), 2014 (HAIM), 2020 (Michael Kiwanuka), 2022 (Sam Fender), and 2024 (The Last Dinner Party), our experience and attention to detail runs through each and every one of Chalk's press campaigns.

We are a press company (print, online, podcasts), and do not handle our artists’ radio or TV promotion.

Chalk also handles the UK publicity for tvg hospitality’s portfolio of London based live music venues: Omeara, Lafayette, and The Social.
